PITTSFORD, N.Y. – The No. 24 St. John Fisher College women's lacrosse team won its sixth consecutive game, as the Cardinals defeated No.15 SUNY Geneseo on Friday evening at Growney Stadium by a score of 10-4. With the win, the Cardinals improve to 11-2 overall, while the Knights fall to 11-3 in 2018.
The Cardinals quickly got on the scoreboard first after the opening whistle in a battle of two top 25 teams, as
Mackenzie LeVan scored her 19
thof the season off of a
Claire Bollin assist just 1:42 into the game. Bollin then followed up with a goal of her own just over two minutes later from the free position to put Fisher ahead two goals.
Fisher scored twice more before the twenty-minute mark of the first half, as
Morgan Young scored back-to-back goals less than two minutes apart, with Bollin picking up her second assist of the evening.
Geneseo put its first goal up on the scoreboard at the 14:51 mark of the first half, however were held scoreless by the Cardinals for the remaining 14 minutes of the first 30 minute half.

thof the season, while senior
Kelsie Schindler joined the scoresheet with her 21
st of the year giving Fisher a 6-1 lead heading into the halftime break.
To start the second half, it was Geneseo able to get on the scoreboard first, as the Knights scored back-to-back goals while on the man-down less than a minute apart to cut the Cardinal advantage to just three goals.
However, the Cardinals were able to answer shortly after, as Schindler was able to find the back of the net off of another assist from Bollin, putting Fisher back up by four goals.
After another Knight tally that cut the Fisher lead back to three, the home side rattled off three consecutive goals to close out the game.
Bollin scored her second of the game and notched her fifth point, which was followed by an
Allison Rupp tally on the man-up advantage from Schindler. With 7:02 remaining in the game, Eymer tallied her second of the game to help the Cardinals remain a perfect 6-0 at Growney Stadium.
Goalkeeper
Morgan Hayes was credited with the victory, moving her record to 6-0 after finishing with three saves in the game. The Cardinal defense showed up to play as the team caused 19 Geneseo turnovers, with
Molly Tice leading the way defensively with four caused turnovers.
The Cardinals are back in action on Saturday, when the team travels to Houghton for an Empire 8 Conference matchup at 1 p.m.
