The St. John Fisher College baseball team swept host Keuka College on Wednesday afternoon.  In the first game, Fisher posted an 11-5 win, while the Cardinals won the second game 15-4.  Fisher (17-8-1) hit five home runs on the day, including three from Jon Gibbs (two in the first game).  Seniors Dave Roth and Chad King also homered for Fisher, who will return to action on Thursday with one game at nationally-ranked SUNY Cortland.
Game One – Fisher 11, Keuka 5
Fisher scored four runs in the sixth and one in the seventh to pull away for good.  The Cardinals were led by 
Jon Gibbs (Pittsford Southerland/Pittsford), who hit two solo home runs.  
Dave Roth (Churchville-Chili/Rochester) added a home run and two RBI, while fellow senior 
Chad King (C.W. Baker/Plainville) also drove in two runs.  
Ross Langevin (Liverpool/Liverpool) and 
Jason Nevada (Greece Arcadia/Rochester) each scored two runs for Fisher. 
Langevin, 
Kevin Wing (Webster Schroeder/Webster) and 
Marc Montesano (New Hartford/New Hartford) each picked up two hits in the win.
 
 
Brandon Lewis (Addison/Addison) and 
Connor Holliday (Mexico Academy/Mexico) gave up five runs over five innings to hold the lead for Fisher.  
Holliday was credited with his first win of the year.  Senior 
Eric Wernert (Victor/Farmington) closed the door for good by allowing just one hit over the final two innings to keep Fisher’s lead safe. 
 
 
Game Two – Fisher 15, Keuka 4 (5 innings)
Fisher handed the ball over to Michael Craig (St. Joseph’s/Getzville) who gave up just one earned run over five innings to claim his second win of the season.   King led the Cardinals with a home run and a career-high five RBI, while Gibbs hit his third home run of the day, and drove in three runs.
Jared Tiffin (Vernon-Verona-Sherrill/Sherrill) and Dave Roth each drove in two runs with Roth adding three hits.  Montesano went 3-for-4 with three runs, while Wing recorded two base hits and scored two runs, as did Nevada.  Tim Spencer (Edgewood/Ashtabula, OH) went 1-for-2 with a run and an RBI, while Casey Jenkins (Honeoye Falls-Lima/Honeoye Falls) scored a run and recorded his first career RBI.
