Baseball Wins In Bottom of the Ninth Yet Again

The St. John Fisher College baseball team scored in the bottom of the ninth inning for the second straight game and defeated York College (PA) 4-3 late Wednesday night in Sanford, Fla.  On Tuesday, Fisher (4-1) scored two runs with two outs in the ninth to beat John Carroll 9-8.

Pinch-runner Ross Langevin scored the game-winning run on a single from Jason NevadaDave Roth went 3-for-4 in the win with two homers and singled in the ninth, before being lifted for Langevin.

Andrew Van Slyke and Nevada each finished with two hits.  Ryan Hanson pitched 5 2/3 with five strikeouts.  Justin Lutes earned the win in relief for the second straight game, allowing one hit over the final 3 1/3 innings.
