The St. John Fisher College baseball team won its season-opener late on Saturday night, as the Cardinals picked up an 8-7 win over Willamette University of Salem, Oregon in Florida.
Fisher, who trailed 5-0, scored five runs in the seventh and three in the eighth to pick up the win.
Marc Montesano went 3-for-5 with two runs and double to lead Fisher offensively. Chad Kind, Dave Roth, Dave Convertini and Jon Gibbs each picked up two hits in the win.
Greg McKeown pitched three innings in relief to earn the win.
