The Cardinals (11-7 overall, 7-3 Empire 8) jumped out to a 12-0 lead less than five minutes into the game, and never looked back. Fisher enjoyed a 20-point advantage (33-13) at the half behind a sharp-shooting performance from sophomore
Chris Baltz (Vestal/Vestal), who converted on four 3-pointers in the opening half, and a defense that held the Soaring Eagles to just 27.8% shooting from the floor (5-of-18).
Fisher continued the trend in the second half, holding Elmira to just 30.4% shooting from the floor (7-of-23), including 2-of-14 from 3-point range.
The Cardinals outscored the host Soaring Eagles 40-17 over the final 20 minutes of the game, and built up a 43-point lead at the 7:48 mark of the second half, thanks in part to an incredible performance from behind the arc. Fisher converted on seven deep attempts in each half, and shot 48.3% (14-of-29) from behind the 3-point line for the game.
Baltz finished with a game-high 14 points, while
Mark Bearden (Aquinas/Rochester) recorded nine points in the win.
Mike McKeever (Indian River/Philadelphia) scored eight, while
Brandon Witte (C.W. Baker/Baldwinsville) and
Justin Beigel (Colerain/Cincinnati, OH) notched seven each. Guard
Matt Newman (Campbell-Savona/Campbell) also scored seven for Fisher, and tied a career-high with six assists.

Will Cornett (Campbell-Savona/Campbell) (three points),
Tim Coyne (Albertus Mangus/Stony Point) (three points),
Quinn Smith (East/Rochester) (three points), and
