The St John Fisher College women's lacrosse team fell to visiting St. Lawrence University on Wednesday by a final score of 13-12 in overtime.
The Cardinals held a one goal lead with just 7:29 remaining in the game, but gave up a goal with under five minutes to play in regulation. After a scoreless first ovetime period, the Saints scored a goal with just 32.7 seconds left in overtime to earn the victory.
Lauren Glavin (3 goals, 1 assist) and Haley Koperski (2 goals, 2 assists) each recorded four points for the Cardinals, while Ashley Fenyn talied one goal and two assists. Laurie Quackenbush scored twice and recorded an assist, while scooping up a team-high 10 ground balls to tie the Fisher single-game record. Theresa Nobilski also added two goals to aid the Cardinals.
Fisher will return to action at 2 p.m. on Saturday to take on host Skidmore College.
