St. John Fisher University Athletics

Joe Post (Canandaigua/Canandaigua) of the nationally-ranked S.t John Fisher College men’s lacrosse team has been named the College’s Male Athlete of the Week for action taking place during the week that ended March 14, 2021.

Post and the No. 13 Cardinals picked up two wins last week after defeating Clarkson and Geneseo inside Growney Stadium. 

Post combined to go 36-for-43 at the faceoff X and had 24 groundballs.  Against Clarkson he was 18-for-23 with eight GBs before going 18-for-20 against Geneseo with 16 GBs.  The Canandaigua native also scored a goal and assisted on another.

Men’s lacrosse will return to action at 7 p.m. on Wednesday when they travel to No. 1 R.I.T.
