St. John Fisher University Athletics

Ross Mathewson (Cicero/Cicero-North Syracuse) of the St. John Fisher College men's track and field team has been named the College's Male Athlete of the Week after his on-field performances at the Brockport Golden Eagle Multi & Invitational the past weekend.

Mathewson had his best performance of the season on Friday as the senior won the weight throw with a heave of 16.47 meters, nearly a meter longer than the runner-up.

Fisher is next set to compete on Friday, February 1^st as the Cardinals head to the Rochester Institute of Technology for the RIT Invite.
