Sydney Masna (Hebron, Conn./RHAM) of the St. John Fisher College women's basketball team has been selected as the College’s Female Athlete of the Week after the sophomore guard nearly averaged a double-double as the Cardinals went 3-0 last week and captured the first annual Woodcliff Hotel and Spa Tournament on Saturday.
Over three starts, Masna averaged 11.3 points, 8.3 rebounds, 2.3 assists and 2.0 steals per game as the Cardinals picked up wins against Brockport, Hilbert and SUNY Poly.
After pulling down a game-high 12 rebounds in the Cardinals' win over Brockport on Tuesday, Masna scored a team-leading 16 points against the Hawks to go along with seven rebounds, five assists and three steals. The Hebron, Conn. native capped off the weekend with 12 points and six boards in 27 minutes against the Wildcats.
