Bernard Daoust (Maple Hill/Castleton) of the St. John Fisher men’s cross country team has been named the College’s Male Athlete of the Week for the weekend that ended October 28, 2018.

Daoust was the top finisher for the Cardinals in the conference championship after finishing in second place out of 81 total runners. 

The junior was named First-Team All-Conference, crossed the finish line with a time of 30:09.14, which marked a career-best.

The men's cross country team battled through mud, rain and pools of standing water to place second overall for the third consecutive season at the Empire 8 Conference Championship hosted by Alfred University on Saturday afternoon. As a team, the Cardinals, who had a program-best three First-Team All-Conference selections, finished with an average finishing time of 31:20.09 and 63 total points in the 8K race.
