St. John Fisher University Athletics

Anthony Brophy of the baseball team has been named the St. John Fisher College Male Athlete of the Week for the week ending on February 26th, 2017.

In his first ever collegiate appearance on the mound, Brophy earned not only his first win but also the Cardinals’ first of the 2017 season. The freshman hurled for 6.0 innings only allowing two runs. Of the 26 batters faced, six were put to rest by way of strikeout.

Baseball will pick up action again in Florida as the team heads down to the Sunshine State for seven games. Fisher will begin the stint with a 12:30 game on Sunday against Otterbein University.
