Bryan Rollins of the men’s soccer team has been named the St. John Fisher College Male Athlete of the Week for the week ending on October 9th, 2016.
Rollins had three goals over the team’s two games this week, helping Fisher turn in a 1-0-1 record.
In the 4-1 victory of Alfred State on Wednesday, the Groveland, NY native notched the game’s first goal, scoring just 3:30 into the first half.
Rollins had a similar instance occur in Saturday’s tie at Alfred University, this time scoring just 1:30 into regulation. After the Cardinals enterer halftime down 3-2, the junior was able to clinch the game-tying goal, with a goal 3:17 after the whistle to start the half.
On the season, Rollins is tied for the most goals on team (5) with Jeff Meyers while being tied for second-most goals in the Empire 8.
Fisher will return to action at 1 p.m. on Saturday as the team hosts Elmira College for a conference matchup at Growney Stadium.
