St. John Fisher University Athletics

Taryn Guinta of the St. John Fisher College women’s soccer team has been named the Female Athlete of the Week for the week ending on September 18, 2016.
 
Fisher finished the week with a record of 1-1, losing to Rochester Institute of Technology 2-0 on Wednesday, before winning its Empire 8 Conference opener on Saturday 4-0 against Utica College.
 
Guinta registered one goal and two assists in the win at Utica.
 
Fisher returns to action at 1 p.m. on Saturday when it travels to take on the Highlanders of Houghton College in an Empire 8 matchup.
