St. John Fisher College’s Mike Roman of the baseball team has been selected as the College’s Male Athlete of the Week for the week ending April 10th, 2016.
Fisher completed a 3-0 week and notched its eighth-straight win on Sunday versus Utica College on the road.
In the first game of the week, Fisher faced off against Rochester Institute of Technology. In an 11-5 win, Roman tallied two hits, including a double, and a run scored, along with two RBI.
Over the weekend, Fisher added two more wins at Utica, winning 14-2 and 14-6. In game one Roman finished with three hits, including two doubles, scoring two runs on his own and driving in two RBI. In game two, Roman again added two doubles on three hits, scored four runs, and hit in one additional run.
The Cardinals look to extend their win-streak to nine at 4 p.m. on Wednesday when they host The College at Brockport at Dugan Yard.
