St. John Fisher College’s Brandon Miller of the football team has been selected as the College’s Male Athlete of the Week for the week ending November 22nd, 2015.

This weekend, Fisher traveled to New Britain, Conn. to take on Westminster College in the ECAC Lynah Championship Bowl game in which it was defeated 42-21.

Leading the defense for the Cardinals was Miller, who tallied 12 total tackles, seven of which were solo. The senior ended the season with a team-best in tackles with 103, nearly 30 more than the next closest player. With 103 tackles on the season Miller became just the 11th player in St. John Fisher College history to reach more than 100 tackles in a single season. He also led the team in solo tackles with 54, and tallied 6.5 sacks on the year.

The Cardinals ended the 2015 season 7-4 overall, and 6-2 in the Empire 8 Conference. This season marked Fisher’s 13th consecutive winning season, and the 12th consecutive season the Cardinals took a trip to the postseason.
