St. John Fisher College’s Nathan Nigolian of the football team has been selected as the College’s Male Athlete of the Week for the week ending November 8th, 2015.

The visiting Cardinals defeated Empire 8 opponent Hartwick College in a 41-34 decision in Fisher’s fifth straight win on Saturday. Nigolian finished the game with a team-high in receiving yards with 101 for six receptions, the longest being 40 yards, in his second straight game receiving more than 100 yards. His one touchdown of the afternoon came on a 25-yard pass from quarterback Matt Naton that put Fisher up 34-31 over Hartwick in the third quarter.

The Syracuse native currently ranks first on the team and third in the Empire 8 in receiving touchdowns with seven, and also leads Fisher in receiving yards with 623, good for seventh in the conference. This past week Nigolian moved into second all-time in program history for receiving touchdowns with 25. He currently sits third all-time in receiving yards, and fourth all-time in receptions.

The Cardinals are set to compete in their last regular season game on Saturday. Fisher will host the Alfred University Saxons at 1 p.m. at Growney Stadium for senior day.
