PITTSFORD, N.Y., April 6, 2015 – St. John Fisher College’s Paige Willson (Griffith Institute/East Concord) of the women’s track and field team has been selected as the College’s Female Athlete of Week for the week ending April 5, 2015.

Willson put together three solid field performances over the weekend at the Colonial Relays that featured 2,100 athletes from 62 universities (Division I, II and III) and 36 high schools.

On Thursday, the senior competed in the only event of the day in the hammer throw. Willson mustered a toss of 36.85 meters to finish seventh in the University division.

She then hit a NYSCTC B Standard in the javelin on Friday with a throw of 25.71 meters to finish in 29th place.

Willson wrapped things up on Saturday, recording a fifth-place finish in the Championship heat of the shot put with an ECAC-qualifying throw of 12.62 meters.

Fisher returns to action on Saturday for the ROC City Track & Field Classic at Nazareth College.
