PITTSFORD, N.Y., March 16, 2015 – St. John Fisher College’s Jordan Johnson (Canandaigua Academy/Canandaigua) of the women’s lacrosse team has been selected as the College’s Female Athlete of Week for the week ending March 15, 2015.

In a 3-0 week for the Cardinals, Johnson recorded eight goals, four assists, two ground balls, three draw controls and two caused turnovers.

The sophomore was one of four Cardinals who opened the week with two goals in a 10-9 win over host William Smith on Wednesday.

Johnson tallied a team-best three goals, including the game-winner, in Fisher’s 11-10 overtime victory over visiting Oneonta State on Friday. She closed out the week with three more goals and four assists to tally a career-high seven points as Fisher cruised to a 14-9 win over host Buffalo State College on Saturday.

For the season, Johnson is tied for first in goals (11) and is tied for second in points (15).

The Cardinals, now 4-1 on the year, are back in action at 3 p.m. Saturday when they host Ithaca College as both teams open Empire 8 Conference play.
