Tyler Fenti (Honeoye Falls-Lima/Honeoye Falls) of the nationally-ranked football team has been selected as the St. John Fisher College Male Athlete of the Week for the week ending October 26, 2014.

The senior captain led the Cardinals’ offense, throwing 10-for-14 pass completions for 192 yards and four touchdowns, as No. 15 Fisher defeated host Alfred State 61-0 on Saturday. Eight different players found the end zone for Fisher, as the Cardinals gained 506 total offensive yards. It was the first time the Cardinals blanked their opponent since the 2013 season-opener against Otterbein University.

The quarterback has pushed his season total to 20 touchdowns, just four short of his career-high with 24 set in 2013. Starting all seven games, Fenti has completed 108-of-164 attempts on 1,563 yards without a single interception – the only conference quarterback to do so. In addition, Fenti’s 240.9 yards per game are good for third among the Empire 8.

With the win, Fisher improves to 6-1 overall and 4-1 in the Empire 8 Conference.

The Cardinals take on visiting Buffalo State College at 12 p.m. Saturday as the College celebrates Hall of Fame Weekend.
