St. John Fisher University Athletics

St. John Fisher College’s Stacie Skidmore (Rome/Rome Free Academy) of the field hockey team has been named as the College’s Female Athlete of the Week for the week ending August 31.

Skidmore scored four goals in a 1-1 weekend, including three of Fisher’s four goals en route to a 4-2 victory on Saturday against Albright College. With the game tied 1-1, Skidmore netted three consecutive goals in just over a five-minute span to put the Cardinals in the lead for good.  In the same game, the senior also tallied an assist.

Skidmore leads Fisher in points with nine on the season.

Fisher (1-1) returns to action at 4 p.m. Wednesday when the squad travels to The College of Brockport for non-conference action.
