Katie Pasier (Orchard Park/Orchard Park) of the St. John Fisher College women’s tennis team has been named the College’s Female Athlete of the Week for the week ending September 15, 2013. 

Pasier helped the Cardinals pick up two conference wins during the week, defeating Alfred University 6-3 on Wednesday and Hartwick College 5-4 on Sunday.

The senior continued her stellar play in first singles going 2-1 for the week.  Pasier defeated Emma Jackson of Alfred 6-2, 6-0 and Ruthie Jones of Hartwick 6-1, 6-2.  She is now 4-1 on the season in first singles matches.

Pasier also teamed up with doubles partner Sania Zaki (New Hartford/New Hartford) for an 8-6 victory over Alfred University. 

The Cardinals are back in action at 4 p.m. Friday against William Smith College at the Mendon Racquet Club.
