Senior Christian Zemaitis (Spencerport/Spencerport) of the St. John Fisher College football team has been named the College’s Male Athlete of the Week for the week ending November 18, 2012.
In the final game of the season Saturday, the Cardinals handily defeated Vermont’s Castleton State College 63-7 to capture the 2012 ECAC Northwest Championship Bowl.
In his final game for Fisher, Zemaitis finished with 106 yards on 17 carries. He scored a touchdown during the second quarter, reaching the end zone on a run from three yards out.
He finishes the season with 210 total yards from scrimmage, good for fourth on the team.
The Cardinals finish the 2012 season with an 8-3 record, continuing a streak of advancing to the postseason for 10 consecutive years.
