Fisher improved to 4-2 overall, but more importantly, 2-0 in the Empire 8 with its 34-17 win over the Utica College Pioneers.

Sheridan was
responsible for three of the seven turnovers the defensive unit forced in the win.  The defensive back intercepted two passes, recovered a fumble and was credited with three pass breakups.

He also ranked second on the team in total tackles with nine, including six solo stops.

For the season, Sheridan leads both Fisher and the Empire 8 with four interceptions.   He also leads the Empire 8 in passes defended with nine (five breakups, four interceptions) and ranks fourth on the team with 29 tackles.

Fisher will return to action at 1 p.m. on Saturday and will host Alfred University for the final regular season football game at Growney Stadium.   The Cardinals have won three out of the last four against the Saxons, including their last home meeting in 2007, which was a 39-18 win.  Alfred, however, defeated Fisher 36-33 in overtime last year, barring the Cardinals from winning the Empire 8 title.
