Rafael Vidal excelled not only on the baseball diamond, but in the classroom as well. A GTE Academic All-American, Vidal finished his playing career with a .424 batting average. At the time of induction, Vidal ranked as the program’s all-time leader in stolen bases with 38 and was also on the career top 10 list for hits, runs, doubles and triples. As a junior, Vidal set the Fisher single-season record for stolen bases with 20, and in his senior season, the shortstop post a .438 batting average, while leading his team in hits, runs, doubles, triples and stolen bases. Rafael graduated from Fisher with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting.
