He was the 1986 Cardinals rookie of the year and went on to become a three year starter at defensive back and a special team’s standout.  Matt was a two-time captain and team MVP.  As a junior he led the Cardinals with 93 tackles and earned all-conference honors.

As a senior he was named pre-season all-America and had 84 tackles and three interceptions in 7 games before a broken leg ended his final season.

He finished his career as the Fisher all-time leader in tackles and return yards.

Matt graduated in 1990 with a degree in business management.

Matt Rowe was inducted into the St. John Fisher College Hall of Fame in 2016.
